Camber

From zero marketing infrastructure to full-year ROI in five months

HealthTech / RCMSeries B$50m Funding

Camber had just raised $50M from a16z, a clear market opportunity, and a three-person marketing team. What they needed was a way to build and run a full go-to-market operation without spending months hiring to do it.

Marketing was a significant new growth lever for us and I didn't have a year to take stock, hire, and scale into it. B&B meant I could build the function and prove the return at the same time.

The Challenge

Strong product. Fresh funding. No marketing infrastructure.

Camber helps specialty care providers get reimbursed by payers faster and more reliably, using AI to take the friction out of revenue cycle management. The product works. The market is large. And after closing a $50M Series B with Andreessen Horowitz in February 2025, the pressure to grow was real.

Camber had built that success without spending a dollar on marketing. That's not a gap to fix, it's a greenfield opportunity: no legacy channels to unwind, no attribution mess to clean up, just open ground to capture efficiently from day one. There was no content engine, no paid program, no automation layer, no reporting infrastructure. Their Head of Marketing had a small team and a big remit, and the traditional path of hiring a team of specialists across every function would have taken the better part of a year before anything was running properly.

The Approach

Use the agency as the operating layer, not a supplement to it

Camber's Head of Marketing made a deliberate call. Rather than building a large in-house function, they would keep the internal team lean and use Bordeaux & Burgundy to run the full marketing operation. Three people in-house focused on direction and oversight. The agency handled everything else.

This is a different model to the typical agency relationship, where one channel or project gets outsourced. Here, the agency functions as the entire execution layer, owning delivery across content, paid, email, ops, reporting and strategy at the same time.

Website

A new website, built and live in under three weeks

Alongside running the full marketing program, we designed and built Camber's new website from scratch in under three weeks. It runs on an AI-native platform that lets us launch landing pages, publish content and push edits in seconds rather than hours, so the site can move as fast as the business does.

The turnaround time reflects how the whole engagement worked. Fast setup, high quality, built to perform from day one.

Simultaneously building the GTM function, whilst proving marketing's ROI.

Within the first quarter, Bordeaux & Burgundy had established Camber's content foundation, launched their first paid programs on LinkedIn and Google, and built the reporting infrastructure their Head of Marketing needed to show the board that marketing was working.

Camber is a great example of how the model works at its best. A lean in-house team sets direction, holds relationships, and makes the calls that matter. The agency executes everything else, at the speed and scale that only works when the whole function is joined up.
