Armis needed to scale globally without scaling their internal team to match. By embedding Bordeaux & Burgundy as their demand generation execution layer, they ran hundreds of campaigns a year across every major region.

Having an execution partner that could move at the pace we needed meant our internal team could stay focused on what they were best at. The volume of campaigns we ran in three years would not have been possible otherwise.

The Challenge

Global scale, lean team, no margin for slow.

Armis is a cybersecurity company operating at the sharp end of a competitive, fast-moving market. When we started working with them they were generating $48M in ARR and growing quickly, with a globally deployed field marketing and demand generation team that needed to move fast across multiple regions simultaneously.

The challenge wasn't ambition. It was execution capacity. Running hundreds of campaigns a year across global markets, producing the volume of content, design and advertising assets that enterprise demand generation requires, and doing it consistently at pace: that is not something a lean internal team can absorb without the right execution partner behind them.

The Approach

Embedded, not outsourced.

For three years we ran alongside Armis's internal team as an integrated part of their demand generation operation. Not a supplier managing a retainer from a distance. A working part of the team, responsive to the pace that a high-growth cybersecurity company operates at.

Why It Worked

Empowering in-house marketers with end-to-end campaign capability

The Armis engagement is the clearest example of what the embedded agency model can do at scale. A globally deployed demand generation and field marketing team, running hundreds of campaigns a year across multiple regions, with an internal team that stayed focused on the strategic work rather than getting pulled into execution.

The Result

$48M to $330M ARR. A $7.8bn exit. Three years.

Over the course of the engagement Armis grew from $48M ARR to over $330M, a roughly seven times increase in recurring revenue across three years. The company was acquired for $7.8bn, up from a valuation of $3 to $4bn when we first started working together.

Marketing alone does not drive numbers like that. But the ability to run enterprise-grade demand generation at global scale, consistently, without the overhead of a large internal team, is a meaningful part of what allowed Armis to grow as fast as they did without losing execution quality along the way.
